In Santau forest near Toda village which comes under the jurisdiction of Antri police station, information was received by the forest officials about a tractor full of stones being taken out of the forest area by the mining mafia. A woman was allegedly duped of around Rs 7 lakh by a fraudster posing as a courier company executive on the pretext of rejecting an international parcel carrying narcotics, police said on Saturday. The victim, Prachi Dhoke, in her complaint said that she received a call from a person posing as a courier company's customer service executive. He told her that an international parcel, in her name, containing two passports, five ATM cards, 300g weed and a laptop has been rejected, police said citing the complaint. When Prachi Dhoke told the person that the parcel was not sent by her, the caller urged her to file a complaint with the police as her Aadhaar card has been misused, they said. The United States on Friday designated Russia's Wagner group as a "transnational criminal organization," raising pressure on the private Russian army fighting in Ukraine. The first-ever joint exercise between the special forces of the Indian Army and the Egyptian Army named "Exercise Cyclone-I" is underway in Rajasthan, according to an official statement. Sleeper Version Of Vande Bharat Train To Travel At 220Km Per Hour: Official

The sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express train, which has become a centre of attraction among railway passengers, will be designed to travel at a speed of 220 km per hour, officials said on Thursday. These aluminum-made sleeper version trains, however, will run at a speed of 200 km per hour on the tracks, they said. The chair car Vande Bharat Express trains will replace Shatabdi Express in a phased manner, while the sleeper version is going to be an alternative to Rajdhani Express trains, they said. The Railways has issued a tender for 400 Vande Bharat trains and the work will be approved by the end of this month, they said. Some of the initial lot of such trains could also be sleeper versions of the indigenously made trains, according to officials. Police have detained a 20-year-old man hailing from Andhra Pradesh and a minor boy for allegedly roaming with a sword and other sharp weapons in Latur city of Maharashtra, a police official said on Wednesday. Shrikant alias Chilkari Gurappa Pawar, 20, a resident of a village in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, and the boy aged around 16 were detained on Tuesday after police received a tip-off about their movement, Local Crime Branch Inspector Gajanan Bhatlawande said.
